GOLF PROFESSIONALS
  PGA Director of Golf and General Manager: Jim Knierim
Jim Knierim is originally a native of Livingston, Texas, which is 60 miles North East of Houston, Texas.  Jim began his career working at Stoneybrook Golf Club in Orlando, Florida while attending the Golf Academy of the South.  After graduation Jim moved to Houston where he worked 4 years at Sweetwater Country Club a 36 hole private facility.  While working at SWCC he was able to obtain membership to The Professional Golfers’ Association of America. After four great years at SWCC, Jim and his wife, Shaunna moved to Tampa where Jim worked for TPC of Tampa Bay for 18 months.  While at TPC he fine-tuned his tournament skills by working the Outback Steak House Pro-Am.  In August 2005 Jim accepted the Golf Professional’s job at Southern Hills Plantation Golf Club. On January 1st, 2007, Jim was promoted to Director of Golf at the Club and continued on to become General Manager of Southern Hills. Jim is committed to promoting the game of golf, running first class tournaments and teaching golf to all ranges of players, as well as enhancing each Member and their guest’s experience.  Don’t hesitate to contact Jim to discuss and achieve your golfing goals.

  Head Golf Professional: Dylan Shook
Dylan grew up in a small town in Southern Illinois.  He was introduced to the game of golf by his grandfather at an early age but never took to it until high school.  After college, he decided to pursue a career in the golf business. Dylan made the move to Florida and upon graduating from the Professional Golfers Career College in Orlando, he got his start at The Slammer and Squire at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine.  He has spent the past three years in Austin, Texas as a Head Golf Professional and is now making his way back to Florida.  Dylan brings more than 10 years of experience to the Club. 

  First Assistant Golf Professional: Brett Zink
Brett is a native of West Michigan and grew up in a city called Grand Haven. Introduced to the game by his golfing parents, he grew up living on a golf course and was a member of club. He competed in many Michigan Junior Golf Association events and played High School Varsity golf for four years. Attended Ferris State University, earning a Bachelors degree in Business/Marketing/Professional Golf Management. Prior to moving to florida, Zink was Director of Golf Operations at The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa located in Asheville, North Carolina. A 20 year Class A member of The PGA (Professional Golfers Association) of America with more than 30 years experience in Golf Industry. Joining the Professional Staff in 2017, he is proud to be an affiliate of Southern Hills Plantation Club and Hampton Golf.

  Director of Instruction: Brian Mulvin
Brian, a PGA member since 2011 graduated from Florida State University in 2010 majoring in Professional Golf Management. He has worked at many of the nation’s top tier club’s, which include The Breaker’s in West Palm Beach, FL, Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, FL and Grandfather Golf & Country Club in Linville, NC. Brian has also played competitive golf at the Junior, Amateur and Professional levels competing on the NGA Tour (previously known as the Hooter’s Tour) for two seasons. Brian brings a passion for teaching the game of golf to others as well as helping all of his students develop their own passion for the game.

Private instruction is available though our highly skilled golf professionals.

  PGA Professionals:     Staff Professionals
   One hour lesson $95    One hour lesson $75
   Half hour lesson $50    Half hour lesson $40
Playing lessons are charged at the hourly rate. Group lessons for men or women may be arranged upon request. Rates are dependent upon group size. Please call the Golf Shop to make arrangements.
       
JUNIOR CAMPS
PLAY GOLF AMERICA & QUICK START TO TENNIS
Junior Camps are designed to expose juniors to the games of golf and tennis, or improve the already interested junior. Instruction includes the full swing, short game, sand play, putting, rules of golf and etiquette. All camps include limited on-course instruction.
  Times: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.                          
  Class Size: Limited to 10 students  
  Ages: Juniors will be grouped by age   

Please register your junior with the Golf Shop. Participants of Jnior Golf Camps
are welcome to bring a guest for a fee of $75 per day.
